Welcome to the BHS Drumline
Past competitions (2010) include Feb. 20, March 13, and Finals April 24th – all PPAACC competitions held on Saturdays in the Bakersfield area. After competitions, we did a performance at home on May 5th, 2010 at 6:30 pm in the Burroughs High School gymnasium.
Drumline practices every Wednesday night from 6:00-9:00 pm in the band room (except for some practices in the multiuse room and gymnasium). There are no practices during Thanksgiving, Winter break and Spring break. Also, there is not practice on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 due to the BHS Band Holiday Concert.
There are mandatory
grade checks for Drumline members. The grade checks are due
January, February and April. Students must maintain a minimum
of a 2.0 grade point average to participate in Drumline.
The fee for participating in Drumline is $50 per student ($25
for costumes and $25 for transportation). Students may pay their fee using
money from their BHS Music Booster accounts or they can pay with cash or checks made payable
to Burroughs Music Boosters.
