Colorguard

The BHS Band's Colorguard is the visual element of the marching band.

General information

Guard members audition in May. Once selected, planning the fall shows and training of members begins. BHS Band Camp is required/training before the first day of school.

Colorguard camp is August 11 (beginning at 7:00 a.m.) thru August 20 at Monroe Middle School. Want more? Do the Sharp camp too!
Most members learn routines from studying videos of choreography (on their own). The practices are two early
6:30 a.m. (Monday & Friday) band practices and three weekly
(Tuesday - Thursday) night 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. practices.
$$$ Colorguard Fees $$$ Each member pays $150 for uniform [loan] and transportation. In addition, each member is required to have their own black dance shoes. The advisor provides sources for ordering uniform parts and accessories at the Colorguard Orientation.
